Visas in Hand
Visas approved and tickets purchased, we are finally moving to Japan. It has been a long two years, but we are looking forward to serving the Lord in Gifu Japan.
VISAS & PACKING
Cody was able to pick up our visas on Thursday and it has been a rush of activity since. Friday we purchased all the tickets for “The Second Wave” (Leah, parents, and the kids) and thankfully got seats all together. Saturday (today) is tying up loose ends and finalizing “The First Wave’s” packing and travel plans.

ITINERARY
“The First Wave” and “The Second Wave” will have essentially the same flights. “The First Wave” leaves Sunday the 29th (tomorrow!) and goes from Dallas to Seoul to Nagoya airport. From there, we will get picked up by the Fisher family and stay with them.
Then, after Cody and Truett set up basic necessities, “The Second Wave” will come on July 18th. They will have the same flights as “The First Wave”.

If you will allow me to be a bit sentimental, I want to just say thank you. All of you reading this have followed our journey to this point, but it is really just the beginning. Our desire is to see God’s Son, Jesus, made known in Gifu and His church to grow and thrive. The excitement of moving to another country pales in comparison to the great task of sharing the good news of Jesus to the people there. We are burdened—in a good way—by this task. We wish to serve Him well and work hard, knowing that eternity is more important. Right now, though we think we see clearly, this is merely a dim reflection of the true reality to come (sorry for getting a bit philosophical).
We are so thankful for all of your support and prayers. It is because of your intercession (in multiple ways) that we are able to go serve Him. From the beginning, we have always seen this as a group effort. Those who don’t go can send, and you all have sent us out well. Please continue to support and pray for us, not for our own sake, but for the sake of those we will share with and serve.
